Heart and Soul

The unsung heroes of any baseball organization are the front office employees.  These are the people who serve the fans, who dedicate all of their time and effort to providing a fun experience at Dodger Stadium.  They give tirelessly, sacrifice greatly and will not rest until every fan is happy.

Employees_4 The Dodger organization is fully stocked with hard-working, dedicated, innovative, creative people who truly believe that they are working for the greatest team in all of baseball.  I would like to salute the fine men and women of our front office; they are second to none.  One of my favorite occupations is to walk through the offices and watch these people do everything they can to uphold the Dodger standards, and build on the tradition of the many employees who came before them.

I take off my hat to you, Dodger employees.  I commend your hard work and effort, and thank you for all that you do.

Give it up for the Dodgers!!!!

1st of all, I think you need to lay off Mr. Lasorda. He has done nothing to warrant being called a “phony”. I think he truly believes in the Dodgers – he’s from the old school, he knows what its about.

But I do have to agree with the 2nd post in terms of experience @ Dodger stadium. I dont exactly think the front office works hard for the needs/pleasure of the fans. I love the Dodgers with all my heart, so maybe Im a bit more forgiving than most. However, its still true what they say. I had an incident at the stadium with something as simple as an UMBRELLA, and I was treated rudely. I’ve emailed the front office before with complaints with nothing in response and if there was a generic response, there was no follow-up. Im sure you’re working on improving this, I hope it happens sooner than later. It just makes me sad sometimes, ’cause I bleed blue.

Other than that, I think you (general fans) should lay off Mr. Lasorda.

Tommy you’re a legend in the true meaning of the word mate. Love the blog, really insightful.
Thaaaaaaaaaaaa Yankes win a night game. See a pic of Damons slide, vote for Jeter to be MVP, and even play a game or look at the photo albums…….

Anyone who thinks Paul DePodesta is anything but a stat geek is a TOTAL-IDIOT! Oh, I guess that’s you, chadlebeauaz@cox.net! Sorry to offend you, but see if DePo ever gets a GM job again. If Tommy advised McCourt that DePo was a horrible GM, them I applaud him because I am a Dodger fan. Paulie was way over his head, not a communicator and was on his way to making the Dodgers a laughingstock! Are you such an idiot that you believe Tommy should have backed DePo? Tommy is a Dodger – THE DODGER and he will always do what he thinks is in the Dodgers best interest. If he railroaded DePo, GOOD FOR HIM!

You are obviously a punk, an idiot and a bitter little man. Why even bother posting here? Tommy is the Dodgers and has meant so much to the Dodgers and baseball for 50 years! What have you been – a punk for like 14 years? You probably can’t even drive and still sleep with your mommy!

You should be banned from posting on a board that belongs to Tommy Lasorda!

Would you please just shut up?

It’s about time you deleted the post from the guy who was deriding Tommy. Tommy, drop by my blog anytime – ladodgertalk.com

Give me a reality series on the Dodgers front office instead of Barry Bonds any day of the week!

Surely someone’s personal blog is not a place to attack him. I have to think that if every player played with the heart of Tommy Lasorda the game would be a lot more exciting, played with enthusiasm and players achieving what they thought they never could. Tommy probably made some mistakes but we can never question his desire or criticize him for wearing his Dodger heart on his sleeve. I expect after Jackie Robinson, he has had the greatest positive influence on the game of any other Dodger. I live on the east coast of Canada. When he shook my hand at Vero Beach in 1985 there was no doubt in my mind that he was not just mouthing words, he truly appreciated that my family had come so far to see the Dodgers. Thanks, Tommy for that and showing us what loyalty really is. Go Dodgers.

wow, that’s alot of front office employees. I think they need to trim a little fat and reduce the front office employees by half. I’m sure they are hardworking, but we need to have a more efficient front office work force to compete in the NL West.

fxeimeister@yahoo.com,

Tell me, what do you know about running a 1/2 Billion Dollar Major League Baseball Club? I am just curious…

booooo!!!

BIG UP for the front office!!

Tommy, how do you know Barry Bonds took steroids? It’s all just spulaction. If you want to give Barry a test, go ahead and make a bigger *** out of yourself then you normally do.
John Bellanger

Tell them the Story about how you offered the Fullerton Flyers 10,000 baseballs for Charlie Hough so he could be a pitching coach in the Dodgers system this season.

Check me out at http://theballhawk.mlblogs.com I am on track to catch my 3,000 baseball at a major league game this summer!! No really …. check out my MLBlog!!
